How to clean polarized sunglasses

  1. Rinse with warm water, especially after contact with salt water.
  2. Use a microfiber cloth to remove any smudges or fingerprints.
  3. Use a lens cleaner for stubborn smudges.

Salt water can cause serious damage to any sunglass lens, especially mirrored ones. If salt gets on your lenses and dries down, it could scratch the lenses or wear down the lens coating, causing irreversible damage.

Use only approved lens cleaners, and never use rubbing alcohol, Windex, vinegar, or any other household cleaner on your glasses.

Don’t breathe on your sunglasses and then wipe them.

Never place your sunglasses on the dashboard, where heat is particularly intense, and take them with you when leaving the car parked on hot days.

While driving, if you’re not wearing your sunnies, keep them in a hard eyeglass case. A hard case will also protect them from getting stepped on if they fall to the floor of the vehicle.
